When wearing a lace front wig, irritation or discomfort may occur due to:

  • Incorrect wig cap size: When the wig cap is too large, the lace front slips and rubs against the skin when the wig cap is too small, the lace front presses into the skin
  • Skin sensitivities

SOLVE IT:

  1. Ask your wig specialist about adhesives to create a barrier and keep the wig in place to stop it from slipping or rubbing. Read HERE.
  2. If the wig is too big, ask for alterations to customize the fit of the wig or hairpiece.
  3. If irritation occurs, ask your wig expert how to use the wig wand to help alleviate the sensation. See wig wand HERE.

PREVENT IT:

  1. Use adhesive to create a barrier and keep the wig in place to stop it from slipping or rubbing. Read HERE.
  2. Measure your head and record the results to choose the correct wig cap size

2. Ask about double monofilament cap construction (no lace front) that is similar to the style you wear. Choose a style HERE.
