Tell us about yourself.
I am born and raised in San Diego and come from a large, but tight-knit, family! Anyone who knows me would associate me with 3 things: Makeup, Disney, and laughter! Disney has always been a huge part of my life (I’ve had an annual pass for 16 years + working for the company for 9 years) and I would say it is a big reason why I am the way I am.
I went to Cosmetology school at Bellus Academy and also graduated with a makeup certification through MUD Makeup Designory. Special effects makeup is my passion! I have always been amazed by the craft and detail that goes into making movie monsters, might explain my obsession with horror movies and Halloween. I started working at a haunted house in 2008 and really jumped into teaching myself the art of special effects.
On my down time, I love going on hikes with my fur babies, doing special effects makeup, watching movies, going to hockey games (GO KINGS GO!), and doing some photography with my boyfriend! I just love to laugh, and I love being able to give that gift to someone else! “Everybody’s got a laughing place!” -Splash Mountain
What is your personal motto?
My personal motto is “You have nothing to lose and everything to gain”. If you live your life worried about what you can lose by your actions, you’ll never see all the experiences/people/things you can gain!
Tell us about your Jon Renau journey.
I started working with Jon Renau in August of 2018 as a Customer Service Representative. I was working in a blow dry salon and I wanted to do something with more purpose but stay in the hair industry. The company was brought to my attention and I fell in love with how they are impacting the hair loss community. Through this, I have learned the hardships one can suffer in their hair loss journey and that having compassion is the most important! Making sure you take the time to not only find the answer but to find multiple solutions for one problem.
What has been your proudest moment at JR?
The proudest moment so far must be having the responsibility of responding to our end consumers through our “Contact Us”. We speak with our clients daily, but we don’t really get to interact with the men and women wearing our products often. They can come to me with their concerns, questions, and praises! I absolutely LOVE being able to help, and it is so rewarding when I receive a picture or a sigh of relief when all is resolved.
What is your favorite wig or hairpiece?
My favorite wig is the Marion in 101F48T! My biological hair is currently the same length as the Marion, but my hair is very fine! I love wearing my Marion because it makes me feel like I actually have thicker hair! The 101F48T is the perfect icy blonde/grey blend that is so on trend!
