Tell us a little about yourself

My name is Briana and I am 36 years old, married and have a beautiful little 3-and-a-half-year-old son. I live in upstate, NY. I'm a dental hygienist, volunteer firefighter and EMT. I've been battling refractory Hodgkin’s lymphoma for the past five years. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with alopecia universalis, which caused me to lose all the hair on my body. It's been a tough journey between the cancer and now the alopecia, but I've tried to stay as positive as I can throughout it all.

How long have you been wearing wigs or hairpieces?

I didn't wear a wig at all until the alopecia started. I was a big fan of bandanas and beanies. When I realized that my hair may never grow back I decided that I'd better start looking at wigs. It was a pretty overwhelming process with so many different choices out there! I'm so happy that I was introduced to Jon Renau wigs because they're amazing!!!

What advice would you give to a new wig wearer?

My advice to a new wig wearer would be to do your research before you make a commitment to buy. Quality wigs are not cheap, and you don't want to spend a lot of money on something that you won't wear, or that will be uncomfortable. There are a ton of wig reviews and videos out there that can be extremely helpful! Make sure you're buying from a reputable site if you buy online. I've tried wigs from Amazon... and you get what you pay for in most cases. Don't be afraid to invest in quality, you won't be disappointed! And I can't say enough about lace front wigs... they're the best for a natural hairline.

What do you love about our brand?

I love so many things about Jon Renau wigs. They are extremely comfortable, they're very natural looking and great quality! I have both a synthetic (Miranda) and a human hair (Blake) and I love them both!! I use all the Jon Renau styling products on them, and they've stayed in great shape.
